I am very diasppointed with my visit to the 58th Avenue Tim Horton's in Vernon yesterday. I arrived shortley after 11 a.m. with a to go order of 6 breakfast sandwich meals for my family. I was shocked to be told that my order could not be filled because the restaurant had run out of sausage patties! How does a FOOD business run out of an item, especially an item that is one of the main components to your breaksfast sandwishes?! I have worked in the food industry for many years, both restaurants and catering, and I have never been involved in a situation where we have run out of an item. Unless there is a world wide shortage of sausage patties, your ordering practices need to be re-organized. Not only did your restaurant lose the sale of six breakfast meals yesterday. it also lost the confidence of myself and extended family members. I would appreciate an explanation of why we could not be served our order when there was still almost an hour left for serving breakfast and I would hope that explanation would have some validity rather than us just being told "we ran out of sausage patties". Please note that this e-mail would not go through until I had pressed a star rating, however the one star rating is very generous on my part and the actual rating I would give for my visit yesterday would be well into the negatives. I don't know if your business does mystery evaluations, but it might be something you should look into. I counted 9 staff members as well as at least one manager in the office, so I would hope that at least one of these people would have the ability to realize that an item is getting low in stock and that the item would be re-ordered before it was totally out!!! |
